I happened on a bit of nostalgia today that took me back to when I was a boy. I am guessing that there will not be many who see this posting who will even know or have heard of Movietone News. For those who don't have a clue, this is how video of news events were shown before there was television and mass/instant news coverage. These newsreels were shown in movie theaters before the main feature.
If you click on the link below you can see a page that has a selection of these old newsreels. They will give you some insight into a world that for many has been forgotten, or for some, a world they never knew. If you click on the Hindenberg Explodes, you will see something that will be all too familiar. Try them all, you will be rewarded.
