Cathy is a source of hope and support for whatever difficulties you may be going through. She says: “I believe we are all truly survivors! I believe we are also here to support each other. No one knows better what you are going through than someone who has shared a similar experience!”
She is a survivor of many things. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31 not long after becoming a widow when her husband was killed in a car accident when she was 25. She is approaching her 6th year of brest cancer survival!! Cathy has a book is about her experiences of being a young, single, dating woman going through a mastectomy and going bald all while trying to find a man. There is a happy ending to her story! She has been remarried now for 4 years to a wonderful man she met at the end of her chemo treatments. She says each day is a gift; and she hopes to help many young people out there to know that they too can survive and find happiness where they least expect it.
