The celebration of the birth of the Son of God, Lord and Savior, who came to save us from our sins.
It is not Buddha-mas, Mohamed-mas, Kwanza-mas, or any other "mas"; it is CHRISTmas. To those who want to "water it down" to be generically acceptable to all religions - deal with it.
Here is one difference between "religions" and Christianity. All other religions can be spelled "DO"; you have to do something to satisfy the particular religion requirements. Christianity can be spelled "DONE", Jesus as already done for us what we couldn't do for ourselves. All one has to do is accept the grace of God, given to us through his Son; this is what is celebrated at Christmas - God's gift to us.
