Thinking of football, the competitiveness, the rivalries, the overwhelming need to win and be first (just having seen with the college playoffs and the weekly playoff games in the NFL) it is hard to imagine players putting it all aside for something else.
Well this is what I found in Daryn Kagan's report of a football team in Connecticut. A situation happened that brought the local team together, but also united a community as well as other rival teams.
