Mark Hoog, whose career is piloting planes for United Airlines, has become involved in children's book publishing by a series of circumstances, starting pre-9/11 with his friend, mentor and fellow pilot Jason Dahl, the captain of hijacked United Flight 93 that crashed into the Pennsylvania countryside in the 2001 terror attacks.
Just before 9/11, Dahl challenged Hoog to make more out of his life, to become more of a leader and more of a contributor to other people's lives.
To this end Mark has created some children’s books that emphasize personal growth, self-empowerment, self-esteem and strong character.
